To recap after almost two years of pandemia, how is Covid-19 impacting countries, with different context, measures, age profile, etc.? In this fifth post, we check the excess of mortality (as % of increase vs average monthly deaths) in a representative group of countries per month.
Overall, Russia (ca. 31%) and Brazil (25%) are the countries with highest excess of mortality since the beginning of the pandemic. Besides, Australia (ca. -5%) and Japan (ca. -1%) are the countries with the lowest rate. More details in the file attached. Next post in a week…
