Covid-19 parameters #4

To recap after almost two years of pandemia, how is Covid-19 impacting countries, with different context, measures, age profile, etc.? In this fourth post, we check the number of deaths per million inhabitants in a representative group of countries per month.

Overall, Brazil (ca. 2950 deaths/mio) and the US (ca. 2708 deaths/mio) are the countries with highest rate of deaths since the beginning of the pandemia. Besides, Australia (ca. 161 deaths/mio), Japan (ca. 152 deaths/mio) and India (ca. 354 deaths/mio) are the countries with the lowest rate.

However, since October 2021, Russia (ca. 848 deaths/mio) and US (ca. 606 deaths/mio) are the countries with highest deaths rate. On the same period, India (ca. 38 deaths/mio) and Japan (ca. 12 deaths/mio) are the countries with lowest rate. More details in the file attached. Next post in a week…
