To recap after almost two years of pandemic, how is Covid-19 impacting countries, with different context, measures, age profile, etc.? In this third post, we check the number of hospitalisations per million inhabitants in a representative group of countries per month.
Overall, France (ca. 165,000 hosp.) and Italy (ca. 148,000 hosp.) are the countries with highest rate of hospitalisations since the beginning of the pandemic. Besides, Australia (ca. 11,000 hosp.) and Japan (ca. 5,000 hosp.) are the countries with the lowest rate.
However, since October 2021, USA (ca. 23,000 hosp.) and France (ca. 21,000 hosp.) are the countries with highest hospitalisations rate. On the same period, Sweden (ca. 5,000 hosp.) and Japan (ca. 300 hosp.) are the countries with lowest rate. More details in the file attached. Next post in a week…
